TICKET SELLER / VALIDATION HOST

Start Dates: Various dates thru November, depending on the resort
Salary: $10.50/hour, depending on the resort & previous experience

 

Description

This role is two distinct roles, wrapped in to one.

A ticket seller is expected to be up-to-date with lift products and promotions ensuring the guests receive the best purchase options for their stay. A validation host is responsible for collecting data at lift stations and the smooth access to all loading areas of a lift. They must enjoy being outdoors in all weather conditions
 

Essential Functions

  • Be an ambassador for the resort by ensuring extensive knowledge of the entire resort and its facilities & current conditions
  • Ability to listen to guests needs based on their budget and ability to offer alternatives
  • Effectively deal with conflict in a courteous and diplomatic manner
  • Carry out location preparation including daily clean-up, maze preparation & ski and snowboard rack set up
  • Be up-to-date with recent and current ticket options, discounts and promotions


Experience/Requirements

  • Previous experience in sales and cash handling skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous experience with computer sales and reservations software
  • Ability to deal with large volumes of people
  • Physically fit and able to move & lift maze gates and ski racks
  • Proven problem solving skills
