WHAT IS THE STAFF ACCOMMODATION LIKE?
Melbourne seems to attract a greater variety of immigrants than any other city in Australia. There are more than 200 different nationalities making it one of the most multicultural cities in the world. It has a large Greek contingent, as well as Italians, Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese and Indian residents. It is also a young person’s city with almost half of the population aged under 35.
With Melbourne being such a popular destination for immigrants, tourists and backpackers alike, accommodation is always a problem.
The Working Holiday Club has three types of accommodation available to our members who have decided to live & work in Melbourne.
- Hostel (private rooms for four – ten person shared dorms)
- Shared Apartments (fully furnished apartments with WiFi and television)
- Subsidised shared accommodation (including all bills)
Through our portfolio of partnerships, we can offer these choices. Normally, we recommend a short hostel stay while, together with our accommodation partners, you view and select a shared apartment that suits you and your needs.
